Upgraded Par 3 golf course at St. Anne’s Park to open in September. (19th July 2010)

Dublin North Central TD, Minister for Lifelong Learning, Seán Haughey, has welcomed the recent announcement by Dublin City Council that the existing Par 3 Golf Course in St. Anne’s Park is expected to open as an 18 hole facility in September of this year.

“This is great news for all pitch-and-putt enthusiasts who visit the park. Work on an additional six holes has recently been undertaken. Great credit is due to the Parks Department of Dublin City Council who have overseen the golf course upgrade and other changes in the park including installation of pedestrian bridges, the provision of 90 allotments in the Walled Garden and boundary improvements at the southern side, which include 330m. of low stone wall”.

“St. Anne’s Park is enjoyed by Dubliners right throughout the year and this ongoing investment and development by Dublin City Council will ensure that it continues to be one of Europe’s finest parks”.
